Personal, Social, Health, Economic and Citizenship Education

PSHE Education is a valuable part of school life. We tackle sensitive issues and endeavour to provide our pupils with a broad and balanced view of life in Modern Britain. Thorugh the varied way in which this subject can be taught allows pupils develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage their lives, now and in the future.

These skills and attributes help pupils to stay healthy, safe and prepare them for life and work in modern Britain.

In all classes the children take part in timetabled PSHE lessons which cover areas as diverse as values, empathy, looking after our body and managing emotions. Class topics are also taught which embody these characteristics – such our Key Stage 2 topic about Ancient China where we looked at Confucius.

We also use weekly assemblies to explore values, share events and explore our society.
